NED MORRIS

Though his grandparents were locals here in the Valley, Ned grew up in the Willamette Valley and then took a circuitous route to return to his family's homestead.

After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing, he traveled to Australia for semi-pro Water Polo Competition. There he fell in love with both his wife Susie and wine, and embarked on his career in the wine industry.

Ned studied at Penfold's McGill Estate in Adelaide, a highly respected wine education institution as a sommelier, and then managed a high end restaurant and wine shop. Returning to the United States for family health reasons, he decided to pursue wine production and earned a Master's Degree in Food Chemistry with emphasis on Fermentation Science and dual minors in biochemistry and microbiology from Oregon State University.

After completing his formal education he went on to receive production experience while working with some of Washington State's highest quality fruit at top notch wineries in Walla Walla including Assistant Winemaker to John Abbot at Abeja, Winemaker at àMaurice Cellars, and Winemaker and General Manager at Canoe Ridge Vineyards.

Ned and Susie moved into the home originally built by his family in 1930, where they now reside with their two daughters.
